The mission of the Longport Volunteer Fire Department is to serve and protect the lives and property of Longport residents and visitors. It is the utmost importance that the department advances public safety with fire prevention and other educational programs. Each member of the department takes pride to represent the community with commitment and integrity.

As the weather gets warmer and summer arrives many will be out on their E bikes, scooters and hover boards.
The Longport Volunteer Fire Department would like you be safe when using and especially when charging these micro mobility vehicles. Please review the National Fire Protection Association Tip Sheet posted here. Also the link provided below will take you to a short video from the National Fire Protection Association on E bike safety. And please remember to safely use all items that contain Lithium Ion batteries, there are in many of our every day items; cell phones, power tools, laptops and the list goes on. We wish all our residents to have a safe and enjoyable time using their micro mobility devices.
